INDORE: A 25-year-old youth survived even after falling from the deadly Bamaniya Kund waterfall, about 15 km from Mhow on Sunday afternoon.
According to Badgonda police, Faheem Sheikh, 25, a resident of Satrasta area of Mhow along with three of his friends went for a picnic at Bamaniya Kund waterfall. They consumed alcohol there after which he went and stood dangerously close to the waterfall despite being repeatedly warned by his friends and onlookers.
Suddenly he lost his balance and fell. The incident happened at around 1pm.
Two villagers jumped into the water and were able to fish him out within minutes of his fall. By that time, his friends had dialled 100 and he was rushed to Mhow civil hospital in a police van. The doctor referred him to Indore as his condition was considered serious.
The youth is undergoing treatment at MY hospital and is reportedly stable.
